The challenge of the year: create a non-profit of your choice and a campaign for them, be it for an event or simply awareness. I created a non-profit charity simply called DataBasics which would create “alliances promoting unrestricted scientific research.” In other words, I believe that putting scientific research behind barriers like money as is done with most research journals, scientists should have the ability to share their research with everyone without having to worry about making money off of it.
DataBasics goal is to educate people on their options and create opportunities for scientists to share their research with others without having to worry about money.
